Nikhil (a.k.a Nik) first laid  eyes on Nisha in an elevator of the university they both attended. After a brief conversation they exchanged numbers and rest as they is history…

N&N are tying the knot this summer and we are oh SO excited for their big day!  We first met Nisha & Nikhil at one of our 2009 client Zumil & Sajida’s wedding. They approached us at their wedding and asked for our information and a few weeks later contacted us regarding their BIG day. From our first meeting to their engagement session day where we spent a lot of time talking about life, work & our passions, me & Harp realized how much we have in common with them.. We are so honoured to be documenting this stage of their lives & looking forward to getting to know them even more over  our future AYCE (all you can eat) Sushi date.. -

Nik brought his saxophone to the engagement shoot, which was a great idea & we had SO much fun incorporating and personalizing their shoot with this prop.

For the following shot I had asked Nisha to just stand by the garage door for me to test the light, and so she simply walked over and stood there casually while i tested my light… and this is what a casual Nisha looks like..GORGEOUS! STUNNING..  beautiful.. etc etc.. one of my favorite shots from the shoot -

Bling! Bling!

So for one part of their engagement shoot we decided to get Nisha & Nik to act out a little how they met..ERRR…okay in a very EXAGGERATED style but it was SO much fun & I have to say Nik your expressions are totally hilarious..

I personally LOVE shooting Pithi ceremonies! They are just soo much fun, things always get out of hand when it coms to ”trashing” the groom with  paste made out of chickpea flour, turmeric, rose water, and other ingredients. But I have to admit that of all the “pithi” ceremonies we have ever shot, Zumil’s ceremony takes the 1st prize.. and I’ll just let the images below show you why….

 PS: incase if you are wondering why Zumil & Naheem (Zumil’s best man) are dressed in Scrubs for this ceremony, well, Zumil is a doctor, so they decided to dress up in scrubs+with some goggles for their “pithi”… enjoy!!

Zumil & Sajida tied the knot this June with full 4 days of wedding festivities! And of course we were there to document their each & every wedding festivities from henna ceremony, Pithi ceremony, wedding ceremony & the day after farewell ceremony!

So we decided its best that instead of doing one HUGE post with all the events, we do one post per ceremony to document all the little details, emotions & moments.. so here we go with post#1 from Sajida’s Henna Ceremony @ the Venetian Club, Hamilton

Sajida, you are STUNNING!!

Zumil & Sajida are tying the knot this June and wanted to do something different, something cute for their engagement sessions. They both LOVE different seasons that we Canadians get to experience throughout the year and they wanted to document their life as an engaged couple through a “Four Season Engagement Shoot”. You might remember them from late last year, when we did their fall engagement session, on a quite a rainy day. Well, I am glad that it didn’t rain for us during this session; although it was much colder, but looking at the images of these two love birds can you tell that it was minus 18 the day of the shoot!

You’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of them on the blog as we still have their Spring & Summer engagement sessions and of course their upcoming wedding to capture!
