Simone & Jason’s engagement/next day wedding shoot/bridal shoot was shot at the Toronto’s Distillery Historic District. I know we are kinda going backwards with this feature, but their wedding & reception was SOO grand that it needs a whole week of blogging, so on this absolutely gorgoeus sunny day in Toronto, we are so excited to feature Simone & Jason’s bridal photoshoot.

Tharshana + Athavan – Toronto Botanical Gardens Engagement Shoot

Tharshana & Athavan tied the knot just yesterday in Tulum, Mexico at the uber luxurious Tulum Dreams Resort. Can’t wait to show off those images! But for now here is a little sneak peak of their super romantic engagement shoot at the Toronto Botanical Gardens!

Manmeet + Shaun’s – Picnic Engagement Shoot

I personally love shooting within the tall grasses, uneven grounds, on a nice windy evening, there is just something SO romantic about it..And for M&S’s eshoot we planned for exactly that type of setting to go beautifully with their picnic themed engagement shoot. Manmeet & Shaun came with tonnes of prop on their own that were just so personal to them, that we didn’t even have to dig in to our prop box for the shoot. From retro coke bottles, wine bottles, strawberries, cupcakes, etc. etc. this shoot had it ALL. We can’t wait to shoot their wedding coming up this weekend, i just know it will be SO amazing & fun!! Gagan + Rashmi – Travel & Vineyard Engagement Shoot – Niagara on the Lake

They love to travel..

In the past 6 months they have travelled to Bahamas, Ghana-West Africa, Amsterdam, Detroit, St. Lucia, Montreal…

They got engaged in St. Lucia on a trip this year..

So the theme for their day II of eshoot came together so naturally.. Happy Monday everyone!

Gagan+Rashmi Toronto Engagement Shoot – Part I

Gagan & Rashmi’s engagement shoot was shot back to back over two days at multiple locations/spaces in & around Toronto. Day I we started off at the exact alley way where G&R first met, followed by the french cafe they both love to eat at, then at a bakery which serves one of the most authentic style european pastries & lastly we ended day one of shooting at Yorkville, where Gagan brought out his Aston Martin as a prop for the shoot ..

So here are just some of my favorite images from day I, day II coming soon!

Unfortunately Thobors Boulangerie Patisserie Cafe was closed the day of our shoot, so we could not shoot inside but we made good use of it’s exterior. Restaurant comes highly recommended by G&R for some good french goodies.

We made our third stop at Sweet Gallery for some amazing pastries (thanks G&R for introducing us to them!)

Mariam + Adeel – Cheltenham Badlands Engagement shoot

The Sun is shining (well at least here in Toronto) & it sure feels like summer plus the long weekend is just around the corner now..So it is a fabulous & happy thursday! And to make this day even more fab, we are featuring Mariam & Adeel’s Cheltenham Badlands Engagement shoot. During the initial meetings regarding Mariam & Adeel’s engagement shoot location, concept etc. Mariam mentioned to us that she wanted to wear her designer Pakistani dress that her mom got for her from Pakistan, especially for the engagement shoot. So as soon as she mentioned that it is a white long dress, we immediately wanted to juxtapose it with a very “rocky” “edgy” location. And Cheltenham Badlands offers just that! Thanks to M&A for braving the rocks. So without further ado..

Hair & Make Up – LeSonne Bridals

We are back from Cancun & back to work with SO much to blog that I think i will be blogging non-stop for a few weeks..(err..well at least I am going to try..;)

Today we are so excited to feature Sandeep & Hemang’s engagement shoot on the blog. The day of the shoot the sky was so dark & very dramatic which made an amazing backdrop along with Toronto’s Harbour Front , where we started the first part of the shoot. Along with the dramatic clouds, Sandeep & Hemang were dressed just perfectly for thier each location & not to forget how easy it was to direct these two during the shoot. They totally rocked the shoot. And now we are SO excited & looking forward to shooting their big day, just a few weeks away!

Steve + Sakina – University Of Waterloo Engagement

Lately we have been shooting engagement shoots at locations which are very significant to our couples. For today’s eshoot, we drove out to University of Waterloo to shoot Steve & Sakina’s engagement shoot, place where they first met. When I first received an email from S&S about doing a shoot at a university type setting as it would represent how they met, I was ALL for going to the actual university where it all started for them. The first part of the shoot was shot indoors in some funky university hallways, & later moved outdoors! So without further ado, here are some of my favourite images from Steve & Sakina’s University of Waterloo engagement shoot.

Shivani + Arush – Gairloch Gardens Engagement

Usually it’s a process to pick a location, concept & style for the engagement shoots here at G+H for most of our clients. The process involves a lot of brainstorming, ideas, inspirations boards etc, just to be able to narrow down details of an engagement shoot. But when I emailed Shivani regarding their engagement shoot hoping to start the creative process, she replied back with “We definitely want to go where he proposed: Gairloch Gardens” . And it was that simple! We had a location, one of the most important details for an eshoot. Hair & Make up was going to be easy, as Shivani is a professional make up artist herself & owns her own company called Artistry by SWG. So after a few emails back & forth we were ready for the eshoot. However we had to reschedule their eshoot atleast 3-4 times as Mother Nature was not cooperating, it rained pretty much every scheduled day of their eshoot. But as it is in Shivani & Arush’s nature, they were easy going & very flexible with their schedules to make this eshoot happen on a bright & sunny day. So finally the day happened & i kid you not it was a full on SUNSHINE kinda day!!
