This week’s iheartfaces challenge is Wedding Bells with ‘oh so fabulous’ guest judge, Jasmine Star. So as I was editing Pam & Scott’s wedding photos I came across this photo, & I knew I HAD to submit it in for this week’s contest! It is absolutely one of my favorite wedding images ever.
This moment was captured just few seconds after Pam had just stepped out of the limo on her wedding day. Pam & Scott had returned to her mom’s place for the “Doli” ceremony. The Doli is a traditional ceremony that takes place after the marriage ceremony, when the bride returns to her parent’s house for a final farewell..I think in this moment Pam was truly delighted, happy & I think in some ways quite surprised to see her & Scott’s entire family & friends waiting for them, all present to give her away to her new groom.. …to me this image captured a beautiful moment that depicts true emotions.

Now that you have already gotten a glimpse of Pam & Scott’s Sikh wedding day, here are some images from their day 2 of ceremonies at the Angus Glen! Pam & Scott opted to see each other before the ceremony as the weather was a bit stormy that day, and it could have rained any minute.. The uber fabulous Chelsea Powell from Chelsea Powell Events coordinated the day & everything unfolded as planned & looked lovley!
The ceremony was intially planned to be outdoors, but due to the moody Canadian weather, the ceremony took place under the tent. However, the stormy weather didn’t dampen anyone’s celeberatory spirits.. The reception program was totally designed with lots of fun, music, dancing & food in mind… from the professional Bhangra players to the Chicken Dance & Bhangra dance off between the guests, it was a rocking party! So without futher ado, here are some of my favorite moments from Pam & Scott’s day…

Pam & Scott tied the knot about a month ago twice!.. yes, TWICE! Day one was the Sikh wedding day & Day 2 was the Church Ceremony Day @ Angus Glen. They beautifully incorporated the 2 cultures, traditions & customs both days, celebrating their love & marriage with of course lots & lots of food & dancing!
Day I started at Pam’s mom’s house in Oakville, followed by the ‘Milni’ & breakfast for the groom’s family & friends at Versailles Convention Centre & then to the Gurudwara for the marriage ceremony…After the marriage ceremony we drove back to Oakville to Pam’s mom place for the “doli” ceremony, where the bride & groom were greeted by Pam’s mom, brother & the rest of the family with lots of love, some ‘indian’ tea & of course the Indian sweets’!!
Aftter the meet & greet, the famous, ‘shoe stealing’ ceremony took place by Pam’s sister, Mandy & her entourage, followed by quite an emotional farewell, “Doli cermeony” to Pam from her beloved family..

I’m sure some of you might have noticed our non-functional website recently, and our brand NEW homepage. Well, life is all about reinvention, rediscovery & new learnings, that’s why it’s time for a CHANGE, time for a makeover to spice things up again!!
